From Vision to Lasting Change
Baho Community was founded in 2017 by Rose and William Ngabo, united by a shared vision to build thriving, empowered, and resilient communities across Rwanda. The organization is rooted in a strong commitment to holistic community transformation, with a focus on uplifting families and creating lasting opportunities for children and vulnerable groups.
William Ngabo holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the National University of Rwanda (1999), a Master’s in Practical Ministry from Trinity College of the Bible (2017), and a Master’s in Managerial Psychology. His career began in 2002 with World Vision, where he served as a Staff Training Officer and later as an Emergency Response Manager. In this capacity, he contributed to humanitarian and development work across multiple countries, including Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Thailand, Canada, Uganda, Burundi, Germany, and the United States.
A Vision Dedicated to Lasting Impact
In 2009, William stepped away from World Vision to devote himself fully to community development through an initiative he had helped establish years earlier. Over the next several years, he focused on strengthening local systems, developing sustainable programs, and expanding support for vulnerable families. This season of service provided valuable experience and laid the groundwork for a long-term vision centered on lasting and meaningful transformation.
In 2017, William and Rose officially founded Baho Community, bringing together years of leadership, practical experience, and a shared passion for serving others. Guided by a commitment to holistic development, Baho Community continues to strengthen families, empower children, and foster resilient communities across Rwanda. Through education, spiritual growth, healthcare, and sustainable livelihoods, the organization remains dedicated to creating opportunities that inspire hope and build a brighter future for generations to come.
