Jaque was just eight years old when she joined the Asante Children’s Choir in 2009. Two years later, she traveled to the United States with the choir for a three-month tour, sharing the Gospel through music and dance. That life-changing experience opened the door to an education that would shape her future.

In 2015, Jaque’s educational journey was suddenly interrupted when Africa Mission Alliance (AMA), the organization that founded the Asante Children’s Choir, ceased operations in Rwanda. With the loss of support, her dream of completing school seemed uncertain.

Hope arrived in 2016 when Baho Community was established to restore the essential services that had been lost following AMA’s closure. Then, in April 2017, AMA resumed providing school fees, medical insurance, and child sponsorship for a small group of vulnerable children in Rwanda. Jaque was among those selected, giving her a second chance to continue her education and pursue her dreams.

Thanks to the faithful support of her sponsors and the commitment of Baho Community, Jaque persevered through every challenge. She successfully earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and graduated in December 2023—a milestone that once seemed out of reach.

Today, Jaque reflects on her journey with deep gratitude. She is thankful for every sponsor who believed in her and invested in her future, and for Baho Community, whose support made her education possible. Equipped with knowledge, confidence, and hope, Jaque is excited to use her education to create opportunities for others and make a lasting impact in her community.
